Guidelines 292NCC Members have free access to this Guideline on the Principia website.
2004 was a year in which Open Source technologies established themselves as a viable alternative within the corporate market place. Open Source gained increasing credibility particularly the Linux operating system, whilst open source on the desktop still has some work to do. These Guidelines provide a useful overview of where the gains have been achieved and where challenges lie if Open Source technologies are to build upon these successes throughout 2005
It also includes case studies on three organisations that have gone through a real life implementation - demonstrating the key benefits and business value.
