Capbility Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) is becoming widely adopted and acknowledged as a valuable addition to the Quality toolset for process and business improvement. CMMI is a process improvement model that describes best practice for the whole lifecycle of a product's development from initial idea to ongoing delivery and maintenance. It provides a roadmap for process improvement by identifying the sequence in which to establish an organisation's processes and a benchmark against which an organisation can measure its maturity of the use of the process.
