Organisations are struggling with the requirements for more and more storage capacity, coupled with the business need for deeper, richer, broader access to relevant data. The result almost inevitably is increased costs and complexity of information storage and access - with no let-up in sight.

Recent research has put the growth of data that organisations have to manage at between 30% to 50%. While an increased regulatory burden on how data is managed and stored, as well as greater threats to business continuity from terrorism, more sophisticated viruses and increasingly devastating natural disasters, it's plain to see why organisations are taking storage seriously or more correctly taking their storage budgets more seriously.
