Attempts to avoid the apparently inevitable disputes which arise in traditional contracts have led to new kinds of agreements, where the partners pledge themselves to cooperate to their mutual advantage.

Objective:

To emphasise the fact that so-called partnership agreements are not partnerships in the legal sense of the term, but simply agreements to cooperate to mutual advantage; to identify the potential benefits of partnership agreements (or partnership contracts); to highlight the special problems associated with such arrangements, and the contractual areas which require special attention.
