Salaries and Staff Issues in IT 2004
The NCC Salary Survey: Salaries and Staff Issues in IT is based on an annual survey of the IT labour market carried out by The National Computing Centre (NCC). The survey collects information on a wide range of issues pertinent to those who employ IT staff including:
- salary averages
- salary increases
- salary distributions
- fringe benefits
- bonus payments
- shift working, standby and callout schemes
- staff turnover, shortages and predicted growth in demand
- new skills requirements and problems with recruiting/retaining skills
- contractors
The 2004 survey also includes case studies on standby and callout work and pay patterns.
The full results are based on responses from 470 organisations in the UK employing in total over 11,300 IT staff and analysis is by industry sector, IT department size and geographical region.
