Overview
The use of workshops to elicit information, gain consensus, make decisions etc is an increasingly important part of many IT projects and Business Change projects. This course is designed to focus on the roles, the structure and the running of such workshops in a Business Development / IT project context, and to identify and practice techniques for obtaining successful outcomes.

Who Will Benefit From This Course?
Facilitators, Managers, Team Leaders, Systems Analysts and Designers who will be called upon to facilitate workshops in an IT environment. Or anyone delegated to lead a business change project environment.

Course Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, delegates will be able to:

  • design and run a facilitated workshop;
  • manage the workshop process;
  • manage a workshop group and individuals in that group;
  • identify suitable techniques to use and assess their effectiveness.

PLEASE NOTE: Facilitators can now become accredited via the International Association of Facilitators (IAF) through their recently established process. This requires candidates to undergo an examination where they practically demonstrate their facilitation skills. This course equips delegates with the skills that are necessary for people who wish to follow this path.
