A good Enterprise Architecture enables agility and flexibility by reflecting business change in an enterprise's organisation, processes, systems, data and project portfolio. It is a reference point against which all business and system requirements - existing and future - can be assessed and evaluated. An Enterprise Architecture is a dynamic and powerful tool that helps organisations understand their own structure and the way they work. It provides a 'map' of the enterprise and a 'route planner' for business and technological change. A well constructed Enterprise Architecture provides a foundation for the 'agile' business.
